INTEROP Agenda Reflects Changing Nature of the Industry: Sessions on 'Consumerization of IT, Mobility & Social Media

Pune, Maharashtra, India. - September 26, 2011 - AirTight Networks® announced today that Dr. Kaustubh Phanse, Principal Wireless Architect at AirTight, is presenting at INTEROP Mumbai 2011 on September 29th.  Phanse's presentation, titled "Bring Your Own Device: An IT Dream or a Security Nightmare," will describe the real Wi-Fi threat scenarios posed to enterprise networks by the BYOD revolution and lay out practical strategies organizations can implement to enforce security policies and protect their networks, wired or wireless, from emerging wireless threats presented by Wi-Fi enabled Smartphones.

"Because the workforce is increasingly mobile and employees demand any-time, anywhere access - and on the devices they want to use, iPhones, iPads, Droids and Tablets - the enterprise today must learn not only how to manage this flood of devices but also how to secure the network from unwanted access," said Dr. Phanse. "INTEROP has recognized this important trend and is presenting its attendees with valuable sessions covering these emerging areas of concern."

According to INTEROP, "The conference topics at INTEROP Mumbai 2011 reflect the changing nature of the industry, and accordingly, we have multiple sessions related to Social Media, the 'Consumerization of IT', Mobility and its impact on the enterprise."
