Rico Bumbaca joins company

Mountain View, CA - July 31, 2006 - AirTight® Networks, the leading provider of wireless intrusion prevention solutions, today announced that Rico Bumbaca has joined the company as its vice president for the Asia-Pacific region. As VP, Asia-Pacific for AirTight Networks, Rico is responsible for all business activities – both the strategy and the day-to-day management of business in the Asia-Pacific region. Having built and managed highly successful teams in Asia-Pac and the ROW for a number of North American based hi-tech companies; Rico brings a blend of sales and business management expertise to his role at AirTight.

Rico joins AirTight Networks from Check Point Software where he held a very similar position managing sales and business development in Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Prior to Check Point, Rico developed his sales and business development skills, together with his management capabilities at Peakstone Corp., Lucent Technologies, Visix Software, and Blaze Software.

“AirTight is delighted to have Rico join the team, as he brings a wealth of experience and connections to the company,” said David King, chairman and CEO of AirTight Networks. “We’re having great success in the US, and we see Asia-Pacific as a large market opportunity and a logical focus for our expansion.”

“I am excited to be joining AirTight Networks,” said Rico Bumbaca, vice president, Asia-Pacific at AirTight Networks. “AirTight is addressing a huge market opportunity and I’m looking forward to helping them capitalize on it.”

AirTight Networks’ SpectraGuard Enterprise has established its industry leadership position by delivering the key elements of an effective wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS):

detecting and correctly classifying wireless threats – to catch all threats, while minimizing false alarms
preventing (multiple, simultaneous) wireless threats – while continuing to scan for new ones
accurately locating the wireless threats on a floor map – so they can be removed.

AirTight Networks’ family of products include SpectraGuard® Enterprise, SpectraGuard Sentry, SpectraGuard Planner, and SpectraGuard SAFE (Security Agent For Endpoints) products. As shown in the February 2006 Tolly Group report, the March 2006 Information Security Magazine review, and the May 2006 Tower Group report - AirTight’s SpectraGuard Enterprise outperforms its competitors in wireless intrusion prevention functionality.
