AirTight Positions Its Cloud Services to Handle the Growing Needs of Enterprise Customers
Mountain View, CA — MARCH 26, 2013 — AirTight Networks, the leading provider of secure Wi-Fi Solutions, has constructed the world's largest cloud footprint available today with tens of thousands of Wi-Fi networks attached to the AirTight Cloud. AirTight Cloud ServicesTM, first launched in 2008, now offers six globally deployed secure datacenters with massively scalable architecture. AirTight's data centers are SSAE-16 certified - secured with multiple levels of physical and cyber security measures, two-factor authentication and protection against environmental hazards.
"Cloud managed wireless networks eliminate the cost and complexity of managing distributed Wi-Fi networks. AirTight provides its customers with carrier class scalability to meet their current and future needs," said Kaustubh Phanse, Principal Wireless Architect and Chief Evangelist at AirTight. "With fully redundant, fault tolerant datacenters in the United States (2), EMEA, Australia, South Africa and AsiaPAC and plans for additional geographic expansion, AirTight is well positioned to meet the growing demand for cloud-services as the enterprise becomes more comfortable with cloud managed solutions."
AirTight's globally distributed data centers offer five 9s uptime with local and WAN-based high availability and redundancy. AirTight APs and sensors at customer locations communicate with the AirTight cloud over an AES-encrypted tunnel. Both APs and sensors are capable of standalone operation and can continue to provide uninterrupted service even if Internet connectivity at a customer location goes down.

AirTight's family of secure wireless APs come equipped with the industry's top rated Wireless IPS (WIPS) for complete protection from wireless threats, including the innovative AirTight C60 - a multimodal dual radio, dual concurrent device that can be operated as: (a) an 802.11n AP with or without background WIPS scanning on both radios, (b) an 802.11n AP on one radio and dedicated WIPS sensor on the other radio scanning both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, or (c) a WIPS sensor on both radios, one scanning the 2.4 GHz frequency band and the other scanning the 5 GHz frequency band. The innovative design of C60 also makes it the only dual radio device that can deliver 3x3 MIMO performance on 802.3af power budget.
Depending on their requirements, enterprises can choose from a variety of deployment and pricing options. The AirTight service can be hosted and managed by the widest range of deployment options – (a) the industry's most scalable global multi-tenant public cloud, (b) customer specific private cloud, (c) on-premise VMware or (d) server appliance – allowing customers to select the option which best suits their business needs.
