AirTight Joins HP ProCurve ONE Alliance Partner ProgramAirTight’s SpectraGuard Wireless Intrusion Prevention System Integrates with HP ProCurve Network Infrastructure to Provide Seamless Wireless SecurityMountain View, CA - January 26, 2009 - To provide customers with a reliable and cost-effective wireless intrusion prevention solution for 802.11abg and 802.11n environments, AirTight® Networks today announced it has joined the HP ProCurve Open Network Ecosystem (HP ProCurve ONE) partner alliance. AirTight, the leading provider of wireless intrusion prevention systems (WIPS), is partnering with HP ProCurve to provide a seamless integration of wireless security into any network infrastructure using AirTight's SpectraGuard Enterprise product. Customers who have deployed HP ProCurve 5406zl, 5412zl, or 8212zl switches can run AirTight's SpectraGuard® Enterprise server application on the HP ProCurve ONE Services zl Module. This module is a blade for the HP ProCurve 5400zl and 8200zl Switch series that hosts applications onto a common platform, helping enterprises meet their needs to accelerate business growth, reduce costs and mitigate risks. The Airtight SpectraGuard Enterprise server works in conjunction with AirTight’s SpectraGuard sensors or HP ProCurve MSM320, MSM325, and MSM335 access points to manage costs and optimize rack space. "As wireless becomes a pervasive technology for connecting users to enterprise networks, wireless security has emerged as a critical requirement for IT departments globally," said David King, Chairman and CEO, AirTight Networks. "We are pleased to work with an innovator like HP ProCurve in offering AirTight's industry leading wireless intrusion prevention technology to enterprises worldwide. By creating an open architecture model for its HP ProCurve ONE program, HP ProCurve has demonstrated a commitment to provide its networking customers with complete security and management capabilities from a diverse ecosystem." "Our customers need a way to increase the speed of business technology change," said Marius Haas, senior vice president and general manager, HP ProCurve. "The HP ProCurve ONE program allows alliance partners to develop applications with HP ProCurve infrastructure to help customers address those challenges quickly and cost effectively." AirTight's SpectraGuard Enterprise provides superior WIPS technology to protect enterprise networks against current and emerging wireless threats. AirTight's patented WIPS technology automatically detects and classifies all wireless devices and connections enabling network and security professionals to precisely locate and automatically block wireless threats - including rogue and misconfigured APs, denial of service attacks, ad hoc client bridging and wi-phishing threats, and WEP/WPA cracking attacks.
