Washington National Harbor, MD. - October 26, 2010 - AirTight® Networks announced today it is hosting two sessions on wireless security at the CSI 2010 Conference held this week at Washington National Harbor, MD.  CSI is the leading IT security management conference and the largest security event on the East Coast. The first presentation, "Wireless Tsunami: How to Hold onto Your Enterprise Security Perimeter," discusses research done by Gopinath KN, Director of Engineering and Prabhash Dhyani, Sr. Wireless Security Researcher at AirTight and deals with the smartphone as attacker - an attack AirTight calls SmartPots^TM, a mobile Honeypot - a very real threat to a Wi-Fi network. The session takes place on October 29th at 10:00 AM, ET. This session is presented by Pravin Bhagwat, CTO of AirTight, and Gopinath K N.

A second session on October 29, 11:15 AM, ET entitled, "How to De-DoS Your Wireless LANs" will be presented by Mr. Gopinath. Mission critical business applications running over wireless LANs (WLANs) are prone to layer-1 and layer-2 Wi-Fi Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. This session surveys the various tools and techniques available to fight layer-1 and layer-2 Wi-Fi DoS attacks and presents best practices to De-DoS your WLAN.

The company is also presenting live demonstrations throughout the day on October 28th of how easy it is for hackers to infiltrate your network and how AirTight’s wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS) detects and stops them cold.
