AirTight Networks WIPS Certified on DISA UC APL for DoD Installations

SpectraGuard Enterprise passes TIC tests for Interoperability and Information Assurance

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF., - January 4, 2012-AirTight^® Networks, the leading provider of wireless intrusion prevention (WIPS) and Wi-Fi access products and services, today announced that its SpectraGuard® Enterprise WIPS passed the Test Integration Council (TIC) tests for inclusion on the Defense Information Systems Agency Unified  Capabilities Approved Products List, DISA UC APL. The DISA UC APL is the single consolidated list of products that have completed interoperability (IO) and information assurance (IA) certification. Use of the DoD UC APL allows DoD components to purchase and operate UC systems over all DoD network infrastructures.

The APL is the only listing of equipment by DoD to be fielded in DoD networks. DoD components are required to fulfill their system needs by only purchasing APL listed products, providing one of the listed products meets their needs. This means the APL must be consulted prior to purchasing a system or product.

AirTight also announced this week that its flagship product, SpectraGuard^® Enterprise, achieved FIPS 140-2 validation from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) of the United States and the Communications Security Establishment of Canada (CSEC).
