Software Configurable 3x3 802.11n Platform Addresses Security Gaps of Other Access Products
Mountain View, CA - July 25, 2012 - AirTight® Networks, the global leader in wireless security solutions, today announced the launch of the only cloud managed enterprise-class 802.11n Wi-Fi access solution embedded with AirTight's top-rated wireless intrusion detection and prevention (WIPS) for concurrent access and WIPS in a single AP platform. With this launch, the new C60 platform eliminates the security gaps inherent in all Wi-Fi access products at a cost 30% below that of any enterprise-grade 3x3 802.11n solution on the market today. Pricing is available as full Capex, full Opex (bundled) cloud service, or a hybrid (unbundled) cloud service.
With this launch, AirTight addresses the four major concerns that network administrators face when rolling out a Wi-Fi network -- simplicity of deployment, ease of management, enforcement of a strong security policy across geographies and cost effectiveness -- making AirTight Wi-Fi the most flexible, secure and lowest cost enterprise-grade Wi-Fi on the market today.
By combining access and security in a single platform, AirTight's cloud-managed, secure Wi-Fi has the industry's best cost/benefit for the distributed enterprise. AirTight Wi-Fi provides customers with a unified platform for wireless LAN deployment and management with functionality previously available only in cumbersome, controller-based solutions such as Cisco and Aruba or with limited deployment options from other cloud vendors.
AirTight's new dual-radio C60 AP platform can operate as a Wi-Fi access point (AP) and a dedicated WIPS sensor at the same time for full time threat detection and prevention. AirTight C60 is an innovative multimodal dual radio, dual concurrent device that can be operated as: (a) an 802.11n AP with or without background WIPS scanning on both radios, (b) an 802.11n AP on one radio and dedicated WIPS sensor on the other radio scanning both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, or (c) a WIPS sensor on both radios, one scanning the 2.4 GHz frequency band and the other scanning the 5 GHz frequency band.
