AirTight^® Networks is the industry standard for wireless vulnerability management solutions (WVM). It’s flagship product, SpectraGuard^®, is offered as a hosted (software-as-a-service) model or customer managed wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS). AirTight Networks is the only wireless vulnerability management company to offer a flexible, end-to-end solution that gives customers visibility into their wireless security posture and a choice in how they manage it. AirTight was founded in 2004 and is a privately held company based in Mountain View, CA with a large development team in Pune, India.

AirTight Networks is riding the industry innovation, cost reduction, and growth curves for wireless technologies (802.11, 802.16, BlueTooth, EVDo, etc.) However, along with the productivity gains wireless technologies bring to the enterprise come many new security threats to the corporate network. Because Wi-Fi signals do not respect the physical perimeter of the enterprise, the corporate air and any device that has wireless capabilities has become an asset that has to be protected.

AirTight Networks has been awarded six US patents, one international patent and has twenty-four pending patents.

• Predictive RF Planning for both wireless AP as well as security sensor placement and coverage to avoid or reduce the need for costly site surveys.
• Detection and Auto-Classification of wireless devices and events to automatically determine which of them are authorized, and which represent a threat.
• Robust Intrusion Prevention of multiple, simultaneous wireless threats as hackers know that multiple threats often can break down a company's defenses.
• Accurate Location Tracking so that wireless threats can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

AirTight Networks provides WVM and wireless intrusion prevention solutions to businesses and service providers around the world. AirTight and its technology partners have served 500+ customers including: Adesa Corp., Assa Abloy Indentification Technology Group, C.E. Unterberg, Towbin (CEUT), USAID, New York Metro Transportation Authority, ICICI Bank, Celcom, Ketera Technologies, and several educational institutions.

AirTight Networks’ technology partners include Trustwave, Belden, Extreme Networks, Mega Path, Websense, Aladdin, A10 Networks, Extricom, and FireScope. The company's Interop partners are CheckPoint and ArcSight.

In addition, AirTight Networks has a parallel OEM distribution strategy, licensing the technology to wireless LAN/networking equipment vendors and/or security equipment vendors for integration into their solutions. OEM partnerships include Siemens, 3Com, Sana Security, Colubris Networks, Extreme Networks, among others.
