David King

David was formerly the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Proxim, Inc. He joined Proxim in December 1992 as Vice President of Marketing, was appointed President and CEO in July 1993 and took the company public in December 1993, making Proxim the first publicly traded WLAN company. He grew Proxim from $4 million to over $100 million in annual revenues.

Before Proxim, David was Vice President of Marketing and Customer Services at Vitalink Communications Corporation, a pioneer in wide area data networking, where he served in various executive capacities from 1990 to 1992. From 1985 to 1990, he was a senior manager in the San Francisco office of McKinsey, where he was a leader in the firm's high technology and health care practices.

David holds an A.B. in Economics, as well as J.D. and M.B.A. degrees, all from Harvard University.

Kiran Deshpande

Kiran brings 24 years of management and technology experience in the software industry. At AirTight he oversees sales and operations for the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. Kiran was formerly the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra British Telecom (MBT). Kiran grew the company from US $7m in five years achieving over 60% CAGR on revenue and 110% CAGR on net profit. The company became one of the top software services companies from India.

Prior to MBT, Kiran was Senior Vice President of Software Services at IMR (later acquired by CGI). At IMR, Kiran conceptualized and successfully implemented software engineering research programs resulting in substantial growth of company leading to IPO at NASDAQ. Kiran spent 14 years at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in various executive, sales and engineering positions.

Kiran has a BSEE from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India and MSEE from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He is a senior member of IEEE

Pravin Bhagwat

Pravin is a wireless networking pioneer and an accomplished researcher. He brings 13 years of leading edge research and development experience in wireless and mobile networking and leads technology development and research at AirTight Networks. Pravin has numerous research papers and patents to his credit. His most recent accomplishment includes design and roll-out of a very large scale outdoor WLAN network connecting two cities in north India. Prior to being an entrepreneur, Pravin was a lead researcher at AT&T Research and IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, New York where he spearheaded several wireless technology innovation projects that led to creation of novel products and standards. He regularly serves on program committees of networking and wireless conferences. He is the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing and has also served as a guest editor of IEEE Network.

Pravin has a B.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur, India and an MS/PhD in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA.

Samir Palnitkar

Samir oversees the development and delivery of AirTight’s on-demand solutions and provides leadership to market demand generation and marketing. A serial entrepreneur, he brings 17 years of experience in management, technology, marketing, sales and operations.

Samir was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Obongo, Inc. a leading online identity management company that was acquired by America Online (AOL) in July 2001. Prior to Obongo, Samir founded and served as President of I2P, Inc., a multi-million dollar semiconductor design company that was acquired by Lattice Semiconductor, Inc. Before I2P, Inc, Samir held key management and engineering positions at Sun Microsystems. He is the holder of three U.S. patents. Samir has authored two authoritative books on chip design and published several technical papers.

Samir holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle and an M.B.A. from San Jose State University.

Sri Sundaralingam

Sri Sundaralingam has been in the data communications and networking industry for more than 15 years. At AirTight Networks Sri leads the product management team where he is responsible for developing and marketing enterprise wireless LAN security solutions using AirTight SpectraGuard products. His responsibilities also include extensive interaction with customers.

Previous to AirTight, Sri spent four years at Cisco Systems in technical marketing for the Wireless Networking Business Unit. He played a key role in growing Cisco’s Wireless LAN revenue from a $180 million to $600+ million yearly run-rate and was instrumental in developing Cisco’s Wireless LAN solution, specifically to enable advanced wireless LAN security features. Sri co-authored the Cisco Wireless LAN security book (http://www.ciscopress.com/title/1587051540) and Cisco’s SAFE Wireless LAN architecture white-paper.

Before Cisco, Sri was a consulting engineer at Newbridge Networks (currently Alcatel) focused on designing and deploying Core Carrier networks. He holds a bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Della Lowe

Della is a two time Emmy Award winning broadcast news journalist who spent many years at ABC News in New York. At AirTight, Della leads the marketing team and is responsible for marketing programs, internal and external corporate communications and public relations. Previous to joining AirTight in March of 2007, Della was Director of Corporate Communications at Qualys, the leading provider of on demand IT security risk and compliance management solutions – delivered as a service. Before Qualys, Della spent 6 years at Keynote Systems as the Senior Manager for Public Relations and played a key role in creating visibility in the press for Keynote and developing its Keynote Performance Awards Program and Customer Reference Program.

Della sits on the marketing committee of Entrepreneurs Foundation, which is dedicated to helping companies to meaningfully engage in their communities through strategic corporate citizenship and corporate social responsibility programs. She also was a key member of Keynote’s Community Involvement Committee and ran Keynote’s mentor program at The Electronics Arts Academy at Sequoia High School in Redwood City, CA.

Mike Baglietto

Mike is responsible for product marketing at AirTight and oversees the inside sales team and lead generation. He is a veteran of the Silicon Valley high tech industry with 20 years of experience in product marketing, sales and technical account management. Prior to joining AirTight, Mike held the position of senior product marketing manager for data protection services at eVault. Before eVault, Mike held senior product marketing positions at Quest Software, Keynote Systems, SBE, Inc., NetManage and Software Publishing Corporation.

Mike holds a BA in International Relations from the University of California, Davis.

Jack Torgow

Jack has been in the data communications and networking industry for more than 20 plus years. At AirTight Networks, Jack is a Managing Director for the North American Sales Team, concentrating on the Eastern U.S. region. He is responsible for developing and marketing Enterprise Wireless LAN Security solutions using AirTight SpectraGuard WIPS products. His responsibilities include wireless network design reviews with customers in North America and Canada.

Prior to AirTight Networks, Jack spent a total of ten years between Cisco Systems as a manager and Lucent Technologies, where he was the Vice President of the Data Networking interfacing with some of the most complex end user customer’s designs.

Glenn Williamson

Glenn is a Managing Director for the North American Sales Team, concentrating on the Western U.S. region. He has more than 20 years of sales experience, consistently achieving high revenue and leading sales at each position he has held. Glenn was previously with AirTight when it launched in 2004, returning in 2008 to manage the entire Western Region for North America. Prior to returning to AirTight, Glenn managed Western regional sales for iovation, which pioneered the use of device reputation for managing online fraud and abuse. 

Before joining AirTight initially, Glenn had developed key verticals in retail, education, hospitality and financial services for leading security solutions providers including Whole Security, recently acquired by Symantec, Arcot Systems and RSA Security.

Tom Conklin

Tom has over 20 years experience in the IT field, with specific expertise in government solutions. For the last nine years Tom has focused on the Information Assurance arena with specific emphasis on WiFi security. Coming from the manufacturing world, Tom has been providing WiFi security solutions which meet various government regulations including DoD 8100.2, AR25-2, and DISA’s wireless STIG.

He brings vast experience working with both DoD and civilian agencies helping them to protect both wired and wireless networks from wireless threats, ranging from authentication and encryption to wireless intrusion prevention.

Rico Bumbaca

Rico, who is Managing Director of International Sales, has over 20 years of sales, business development, marketing and management experience in a number of high-growth technology companies, and over 7 years in the IT security industry.  He has developed the Asia Pacific and US businesses for a number of start-up organizations including ZoneLabs, a division of Check Point Software, VitalSigns Software, a division of Lucent, Visix Software, and Neuron Data. 

Rico has an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, and MASc and BASc degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Mike Farley

Mike has spent his entire career in high tech sales positions. He is responsible for business development and strategic partnerships at AirTight. Before joining AirTight, he was regional sales director for Northern California at Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ: FNSR) and, director of sales and marketing for Opticity, a new product launched by Finisar, a global technology leader for fiber optic subsystems and network test systems. Previous to Finisar, Mike held sales management positions at Cisco Systems, Alantec/FORE Systems, Vitalink Communications/Network Systems Corp., BICC Data Networks and Arrow Electronics.

Mike Holds a BS in electrical engineering from Boston University.

Anthony Paladino

Anthony is Managing Director of the US and International Systems Engineering Teams. He has over 12 years experience in data networking, wireless networking and information security.  For the last 7 years Anthony has been dedicated to the study of wireless LAN vulnerabilities and the proper deployment of wireless intrusion detection/prevention systems. 

Prior to joining AirTight in 2005, Anthony held key Sales Engineering positions at both AT&T and PageNet.  He also held a Product Development role at Cervalis (disaster recovery solutions) and was the first member of AirDefense's Wireless Security Engineering team.  Anthony has a BS in Technical Communications from Drexel University.
